Expressionists understand that there is more for an artist to capture than just three-dimensional objects. There is also atmosphere, space, mood, perhaps a point of view and the metaphysics of color to consider. As an artist, I am constantly experimenting with the inventive use of color and form to heighten the optical experience.
I was a Southern California girl, growing up in Santa Monica. I often observed the rhythms and patterns of the tides and the sea. These memories surfaces as I create my paintings.
There is always a story that could be written. As an artist I tell my story through my paintings.
