Growing up in a Southern California beach city, I am always drawn back to the sea as subjects for my paintings. This series was created from photos of beach scenes, from Malibu to Ventura, and on to the north, along the Rincon and as far as Cayucos. The lone surfer in the sunsetting sky seems to be contemplating life and searching within her soul.
